Doppelgangers?

There is this TV series that my husband and i were watching. I am pretty sure that many (if not most) of you are familiar with Vampire Diaries. It's about typical vampires and wolf drama. Except for some concepts and one of which inspired me to create this article. It's about doppelgangers. The lead star in the series looks like the exact copy of someone who had lived many years ago. Surprisingly, when i asked our buddy "Google" regarding this, his another buddy "Wikipedia" provided this answers:

1) a doppelgänger (German, literally a "double goer") (pronounced [ˈdɔpəlˌɡɛŋɐ] ( listen)) is a paranormal double of a living person, typically representing evil or misfortune.(scary...)

2) In modern vernacular it is simply any double or look-alike of a person. It also describes the sensation of having glimpsed oneself in peripheral vision, in a position where there is no chance that it could have been a reflection.

3) Doppelgängers often are perceived as a sinister form of bilocation and are regarded by some to be harbingers of bad luck. In some traditions, a doppelgänger seen by a person's friends or relatives portends illness or danger, while seeing one's own doppelgänger is an omen of death. (Bad luck? Eery...)

4) In Norse mythology, a vardøger is a ghostly double who precedes a living person and is seen performing their actions in advance. In Finnish mythology, this is called having an etiäinen, i.e., "a firstcomer". In Ancient Egyptian mythology, a ka was a tangible "spirit double" having the same memories and feeling as the original person. In one Egyptian myth titled "The Greek Princess," an Egyptian view of the Trojan War, a ka of Helen was used to mislead Paris of Troy, helping to stop the war. (Just some history)

5) In some myths, the doppelgänger is a version of the Ankou, a personification of death. (Another negative view)

And i wonder if such is a fact or fiction. Now, i haven't seen someone who looks exactly alike with another person. But i have observed some people who has resemblance with someone. (Guess i dont want to think that they are doppelgangers)

Oftentimes, whenever i am out, and even some friends have told me about my celebrity look alikes. My husband also experienced being called with a celebrity name because of certain similarities. I have tried to search photos of those celebrities/figures and placed a photo of ourselves to check whether their claims are true (or close to being true). Here are a few:

One time while i was in Dermclinic, a nurse told me that i have resemblance with the former Starstruck contestant, Jade Lopez.

A few years back, during a trial make-up at SM, the make-up artist told me that i looked like Gladys Reyes.

In a pawnshop, a staff called me Barbie Forteza.

Our messenger, when i used to have front bangs, told me i looked like Kathryn Bernardo.

My husband, (who fantasizes Sam Pinto) told me that i looked like her. (Or maybe it was just one of his fantasies coz he also told me i have certain angles like Angel Locsin and LJ Reyes).

On the other hand, my fellow choir members, (the first time they met Gary) began to call him Gerard Salonga which my husband is against with. According to him, he looks more like John Lloyd Cruz and Chris Tiu.

Well, i disagree. I told him he looks more like Shindong of Super Junior (a Korean male group).

I will keep an eye on my family and friends because i also observed that they have look alikes too. Watch out, this definitely has a continuation.=)
