Online Deals?

I am used to the old fashioned way of making purchases; that is going to stores, establishments, and malls to check what I need/want to buy then actually paying for the item/s that suits my taste. But lately, I must say that my skeptical attitude towards online shopping has changed. I happen to be exposed to few of the many online deals available like Metrodeal, Cash Cash Pinoy and Living Ensogo through my officemates and colleagues. They have made their purchases online and I did not observe any sign of disappointment. And so, I felt the need to satisfy my own curiosity.

I could still remember the first deal I made. Actually it was an accident because it was my officemate who really made the purchase and since he couldn’t make it to the date he made the reservation, he sold it to me. It was a Manila Bay Cruise with plated dinner for only Php249 which I availed of on our first year wedding anniversary. I found it a great deal and so the next deals I availed of were bought using an account I created under my name. To satisfy beauty needs, I purchased hair rebonding treatment at Mary Pauline Salon – Imus Branch for only Php999 and diamond facial at Dermcare for only Php250. Satisfaction of hunger? I have tried Star movies CafĂ© Dino Buffet, Celina’s and Midas Hotel’s buffet with my husband. Did I also mention that I bought Barrio Fiesta set meal of paella, kare-kare and fried chicken? Well… Satisfaction of fun? I tried buying the bowling and unlimited ice skating experience at SM MOA.  I have also bought a 1 TB hard drive (12 months to pay!)

Now, wonder no more about why these websites are talk of the town among the budget conscious people of the Philippines. I believe that the percentage of savings for every deal made, may it be big or small is an opportunity worth grabbing. In addition to this, the option to pay at a later date is a plus point. I haven’t encountered a scam deal but as a precaution to anyone out there who might be interested to buy online in any of the sites I mentioned, just maintain the attitude of being a smart buyer. Read the complete details of the deal before making the purchase. Take note of the deal duration and also the location of the establishments in which the deals could be availed of. If there are any information pertaining to travel agencies concerned, make sure to verify the deal first or ask information pertaining to travel dates and other important travel details that need to be considered. Do not be an impulsive buyer. It pays to ask yourself first about your needs and your capacity to pay before clicking “deal”. There are always basics in everything we do. If we are not sure and we are not confident about something, it is never wrong to ask other people, to gather information before making any decision. Happy deal shopping! (I will just check my email; there might be new tempting deals. LOL)
